B. Umashankar

Sri Umashankar is a Vocalist, Composer, Publisher, Research Scholar, Music Director, Music Teacher, and an Organiser. A disciple of late Needamangalam V.V. Subramanian and Bombay Sisters C. Saroja and C.Lalitha, he holds a Masters degree in music and is a UGC lecturer. He teaches music from basic level to advanced level students and conducts special training for diploma and degree music examinations. He has given concerts in major music festivals in India and abroad. He also works with dancer Chitra Visweswaran and other senior dancers for their Bharathanatyam recitals.
