Bharatanatyam Summer Camp

The Sahrdaya Foundation is an organization for the classical and contemporary performing arts launched in August 28, 2011 by Bharatanatyam dancer-choreographer Sheejith Krishna, with a core group of artistes and scholars: Jyothishmathi, Manjari Chandrasekhar, Akhila Ramnarayan Anjana Anand.

As part of the foundation's efforts in education, they are conducting a three-day intensive summer workshop on May 25, 26, and 27, 2012, for 20-25 emerging performers and advanced students of Bharatanatyam at the National Agro Foundation Centre for Rural Development in Illedu village, Kanchipuram District, near Pondicherry. It will be led by the five core Sahrdaya members and eminent guest artistes including Carnatic vocalist O.S. Arun, art historian Chitra Madhavan, koothu artiste Ashwini Kasi and playwright-director Gowri Ramnarayan.
