Born in the year 1984 at Chennai, B. Anantha Krishnan inherits the talents
of a reputed musician family. He is the grandson of renowned Violin Vidhwan
Late V.K.Venkata Ramanujam Iyengar (Ex-professor – Performing Arts Banaras
Hindu University) and son of equally reputed violinist Dr. V. Balaji, Head of the
Department, Faculty of Performing Arts, Banaras Hindu University (Varanasi).
As a strong cord of musical instrument emitting melodious note, he in fact is the
continuation of the family tradition and belongs to the fourth generation of his
family.
He has performed in major sabhas like the Music Academy, Naradha Gana Sabha, Krishna Gana Sabha, Bharat Kalachar, to name a few. He has also won many prestigious awards like the Yuva Kala Bharathi, and the Best Concert Award in 2011 and the Best Sub- Senior Vocalist award in 2012 from the Music Academy, Madras.
