Akkarai S. Subhalakshmi

Akkarai Subbalakshmi started her training under V.Janakiraman and her father Akkarai Swamynathan. She is a well recognized vocalist as well and is learning vocal music from Padma Bhushan P.S. Narayanawamy and Chitravina N. Ravikiran. A graded artist of AIR, Subbalakshmi has provided violin support to many eminent vocalists and instrumentalists in the carnatic music arena, also touring many parts of the world at this young age. Subbalakshmi, along with her younger sister Akkarai Swarnalatha, perform together as the Akkarai Sisters. She has been conferred many titles and has participated in the Indo-Russian Cultural Exchange program.
